Okay, lovely as the picture may be, let's get down to business. GLAAD is basically a watchdog group keeping score. The more depictions of gays in the media, the happier they are. Quantity is their focus. This nomination won't take into account the frustration of ATWT fans who know how disastrously Luke and Noah's story has been plotted. Naturally the recognition will be spun as a great accomplishment, because any press is good press. No award of any kind would seem appropriate, given the scathing criticism from viewers that I've read. Even their long awaited sexual moment was seen as too little, too late. When Passanante starts a decent story with these two, she botches it and wraps it up in record time - which happens to all the other characters as well. Who in their right mind wants to celebrate that?

I'm GLAAD for every Nuke picture you guys post (Can't we get a separate category just for pictures of them? ;-), but did you really not find another unpublished picture where Noah wasn't hiding behind Luke? :-) :-)

Kudos to ATWT for the nomination.
Even though the GLAAD awards has its faults, (as does any awards ceremony) it is still nice to see the nomination.

Oakdalian is right. As much as I love Nuke, Van and Jake, I don't feel that ATWT deserves to be rewarded for what they did with Luke and Noah in 2008. It does seem like they started 2009 on a better foot, but that doesn't make up for some of the EXTREMELY poor choices they made with Luke and Noah in 2008. The Cyndi Lauper Episode aside (even that episode was bittersweet for Nuke fans), it seemed that in 2008 ATWT's main goal was to drive all but the most hardcore Nuke fans away from the show and as Oakdalian pointed out, Luke and Noah's much anticipated first time didn't live up to the expectations that the show had built up for it. For me it was more bitter than sweet that such a hyped up moment turned out to be so underwhelming with the much anticipated love scene occuring mainly off screen and with such little afterglow. So underwhelming that many viewers were unsure if Luke and Noah had actually done the deed until they rewatched the quick scene. Not to mention the fact that ATWT didn't bother to promote the moment as is the norm in the industry. This all gives the appearance that ATWT is more ashamed of the storyline than they are proud of it. Maybe the ATWT/TeleNext/P&G/CBS execs are the one that need an intervention from Cyndi Lauper.

My first comment is about the GLAAD nomination: while I admit that the Nuke storyline has been lacking for most of 2008, I don't watch the other nominated program, so I can't say whether it's better or not.

My second comment is about the pic: this looks like it comes from the aftermath of the party where somebody ends up in the hosipital and possibly dead; I'm seeing distressing rumors that the victim could very well be Reg, which horrifies me as I like that character and was hoping that TPTB would build him up as a potential third wheel in a romantic triangle with Luke and Noah. Please, let the victim be somebody else!

Thank you so much for the sweet picture of Luke and Noah.

Even though they did not have the best storylines last year, I am still happy for ATWT's GLAAD nomination.
