SPOTLIGHT ON MICK HAZEN (PARKER; ATWT)
In real life, Mick, who turned 16 on March 22, is a high school student who is looking forward to driving lessons. When he is filming the daytime drama, his day begins before 5 a.m. as he heads off to film the show. He returns to school in the afternoon for classes until 4:15, and during basketball season he plays or practices until 7 p.m. Dinner at home follows, then homework and reading the next day’s script, and then lights out at 11 p.m. A long day for a high school sophomore.
Mick’s work on the show has paid off. He has been nominated again for a Young Artists Award that will be presented this Sunday evening in California, and Mick has also been pre-nominated for a Daytime Emmy award.
Entire feature, here.

That emmy pre nomination deserved to go to Jake Silbermann instead. I am severely pissed. Such a shame :(
I think Mick totally deserved that pre-nomination and was cheated of getting one last year. He's very talented and we're very lucky to have him on ATWT. He does a terrific job whether you like the story or not.
What a great article! Mick sounds like a great kid and what a future he has ahead of him!
All I have to say I'm glad there maybe change next year. (NATAS is exploring ways to alter voting so that it can eliminate the controversial pre-nom system that requires the casts of TV soaps to put forth two actors per category to be judged by voters who view the sample DVDs. Next year it may be possible for all actors to put themselves up for nomination and be evaluated by the judges.)
Hmmm. It mentions several fansites. I only know of mine and one other little site, I can't find anymore.
