SOAPS TO THE RESCUE

Despite perennial breast-beating about the soap-opera genre going the way of the network Western (so long, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Rawhide, Little House on the Prairie and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman; Deadwood doesn't count, it's on Showtime), all over the world, people still see soap operas as the ultimate genre for getting the word out about key societal issues ranging from:

Teaching Life Skills to Debt to Immigration to... Bad Grammer?

I am sorry that my comment is off topic. I didn’t know where else to post my question so I thought I’d try here.

I have really been enjoying watching the Classic soaps that are featured at AOL.com but there seems to be some problems with being able to download episodes or even watching some of them on the internet.

Example: I have been downloading “Texas” so I can watch them when I don’t have access to the internet but Episodes 53, 54, 55 and the latest one 78 do not download to my hard drive like the others. Does anyone know if anything is being done to correct this problem and also is Episode 47 going to be replaced with the correct episode instead of episode 24.

The AW episode current posted as 4126 is actually a duplicate of 4127. Will the real episode 4126 be posted?

I've tried to contact AOL about the above issues, but they keep referring me to P&G. Is this blog the best place to get answers to questions like this?

Will these currently missing episodes be posted?

Another World Episode 4090
Edge Of Night Episodes 4100 & 4112
Texas Episode 47

Yeah, fat chance getting answers here. I've tried and tried. The "official" PGP CLASSIC SOAPS blog is really just a place to advertise the embarrassing state AWTW and GL are in while virtually ignoring the problems with the AOL channel it was designed to promote.

While I love the episodes, there should really be someone who can answer these kinds of questions. AOL refers me to P&G for questions specific to the videos such as the above. Meanwhile, I have yet to reach anyone at P&G. If AW episode 4090 is missing, then so be it. But if the episode was originally skipped over, then why not repost it? Fix the duplicates. Be available for questions. It's called good customer service. So basic yet apparently so lacking.
