WHERE ARE THEY NOW: LINDA BOVE (MELISSA; SEARCH FOR TOMORROW)

Bright-eyed fifth-grader Zoe Allardice remembers watching "Sesame Street" and being inspired by deaf actress Linda Bove, whose confidence made her feel, despite her own deafness, she could achieve anything.

Now 11, she's excited Bove, who played Linda the Librarian in the same cast as Elmo and Cookie Monster, will visit the Learning Center for the Deaf (TLC) tomorrow to observe a preschool class and accept an award at a benefit gala in the evening....


In her varied career of more than three decades, Bove has appeared on television in the soap opera "Search for Tomorrow," as well as the popular television show "Happy Days," playing the girlfriend of Henry Winkler's "Fonzie," and in films and on stage.
