With so much Guiding Light action taking place in juvenile hall these days, the PGP Classic Soaps Blog thought we'd take a look back at another P&G jailbird, Another World's Rachel Cory.

As we covered here, evil Janice Frame was poisoning her wealthy husband, Mac. Mac's ex-wife, Rachel, discovered the plot and eventually foiled it -- by sleeping with Janice's lover and accomplice, Mitch Blake (well, there was more to it than that, but that's what had the greatest repercussions). The plot foiled, Mac and Rachel reunited. Though she neglected to mention that the child she was carrying was Mitch's not Mac's.

When Mitch was murdered, Rachel stood trial -- and was forced to admit on the stand that her unborn son wasn't a Cory (little Matthew grew up to be played by Matt Crane, current husband of GH star Robin Christopher). Rachel was sentenced to eight years in prison.

In the episodes currently airing on the AOL/PGP Classic Soap Channel, Rachel (Victoria Wyndham) is preparing to head off to prison to serve her time. But her perennial white knight, Mac, has a plan to vindicate the love of his life -- despite Rachel's insistence that he file for divorce.

Will they split for good? Will Rachel go free?
