FUTURE SHOCK

So what do we think? Is this a new ATWT supercouple in the making (remember, when Luke's parents, Holden and Lily, were Luke's age, they'd already met and pledged undying love)?

Noah (Jake Silbermann) and Luke (Van Hansis). Should we call them Nuke?

  1. I am ashamed of ATWT for doing this story. It is disgusting. Please ditch this story now before you lose your viewers.

  2. Thank you so much for the update, I can't wait for this storyline to start, it has been a long time coming.

  3. Thanks for the update. Nuke is definitely the name of choice. It's the best combo name I've heard in a while. I am so looking forward to Luke finally finding love and to see what Noah has to offer. They will make a very cute couple.

  4. If I wanted to watch this type of story, I would not be watching As the World Turns instead I could find it on one of my cable channels. When I watch for romance, it is not this type of romance. I will totally be turned off from the entire show if you go through with this story. Please do not push this on your viewers who have faithful to the show for 50+ years.

  5. I applaud ATWT for finally going ahead with this story! To TPTB, please treat this story as you would any other- drama, making out, lovemaking,betrayl- everything we love in the soaps. It will just pain me if they go to kiss and the camera pans away. Here's to Nuke! Can't wait.

  6. Go Luke. I'll be rooting for you. I'm amazed that some people fear what is potentially a beautiful young love story, but have no problem with murder, adultery, rape and the never ending crime we have in Oakdale on a daily basis.

  7. I hope Luke and Noah become the first same sex supercouple. I really believe this storyline will help boost ratings. There's such a buzz already and it hasn't even started yet.

  8. Looking forward to the story! Hmm, Nuke sounds negative -- maybe Loah?

  9. I'm really excited to see Luke & Noah's story play out, but I hate the combo name thing with a passion. I can't believe it's become so popular.

  10. This is a disgrace that the show feels that they have to torture the viewers with this trash story. I for one will not be watching. I will turn off the show I have watched for 17 yrs before you push this story on me. I am appalled that the show feels that they have to show this on the air. When the viewership drops because of this story and this story is taken off the air, I will return to the show. I will be watching the magazines for word on when that day will come. Shame on CBS and ATWT.

  11. I am very excited about this storyline! I've been watching ATWT since 1987 (I think), so I've been there for lots of "ups" and even more "downs." I'm definitely considering this one of the "ups"!

One thing I've noticed over the years is that storylines tend to get recycled again and again -- I've seen the Cleo/Gwen thing before (with Lily/Rose, Franny/Sabrina and even Simon and his stupid evil twin). I've seen the Faith-has-an-eating-disorder story before (hello, Courtney!). And I've seen the Craig-steals-the-company scenes before (yes, I was watching during those bad early '90s post-Douglas Marland years).

But the Luke/Noah story? That's a new one -- and one to which I'm very much looking forward!

  12. Bravo ATWT! I am a young, (hetero) female viewer.....who can't WAIT for Nuke! It's too bad there has to be such negativity, but I guess there always have been homophobes and bigots and there always will. I applaud ATWT for reflecting more of what real society is. I would also like to see it have more minorities featured prominently, like it used to.
