THAT WAS THE SOAP OPERA YEAR THAT WAS: TRENT DAWSON (HENRY; ATWT)
For the second year in a row, Trent Dawson has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Supporting Actor. For the second year in a row, he is, arguably, the only true Supporting Actor in the category, and not merely a leading man too scared to play in the big leagues and submit his name for Outstanding Lead.
His competition drives their own story, while Trent is the only one who genuinely supports, in drag and out, whichever tale he's in and whichever co-star he's with (whether it's Maddie's rape story, Emily's suicide saga, or Katie being Katie).
Take a look at our photo retrospective of Trent's work in 2006, then let us know in the Comments section below if you think this is Trent's year to bring home the gold!

Trent SHOULD win.
Actually, Trent should be pumped from supporting actor on ATWT to lead actor because he is one of the strongest talents on the show and Henry is also one of the most interesting characters.
Time for the show to give Henry a boost and give us more Henry.
Good luck, Trent!
